The past weekend, the traditonal “classic season” was brought to a close with the completion of the Hamilton Bowling Club’s annual classic.
96 players turned out for the event, 48 men & 48 ladies
Winners – Matthew Boyce, Barry Hayidakis, Kerry Anne Brophy & Karen Boyce
Runners up – Pari Comerasamy, Charmaine Comerasamy, Ingrid Jessop & Daffy Shaw
3rd – Jenna v.d. Linda, Clive Boucher, Ray Hensberg & Lawrence Boucher
Best Dressed/most festive team – Hammies in pajammies – Ian & Bridget Nicholas, Warren Palmer & Sarah Goetsch
A total of R20 000 in cash was given away together with prizes estimated at another R20 000 – so in total R40 000 worth of prizes were given away.
A “Barrel of booze” to the value of approximately R5000 was raffled, with Richard Osner being the lucky winner
The spider and fines brought in just over R2300 with Pet Pals being our chosen charity.

All in all it was a great weekend of bowls, fantastic food and fitting end to the 2023 season.
